• NBA LIVE 18 Event Teases 'The One'

Last night in Los Angeles, EA SPORTS hosted a private event featuring NBA LIVE 18. Held at the Siren Soundstage Studio, the invite-only soiree appeared focused on media and YouTube content creators and included NBA LIVE 18 signage, a swag box featuring sneakers, a barbershop, a face-scanning rig, and a basketball hoop for attendees to practice their shot.

The theme of the event centered around "The One," seemingly either the central marketing/promotional theme for the title and/or the name of a new game mode. Some signage at the event appeared to say 'One Career,' perhaps indicating it is the name of a new single-player or career mode.

Other prominently displayed signage appeared to include images of Anthony Davis (potential cover athlete? Displaying improved facescan/graphics?), outdoor venues, and a logo for 'The League' (perhaps another new mode or an aspect within career mode?).

An off-screen shot of the game shows LeBron James and the Celtics' Avery Bradley. The first official release of game information is expected, but not confirmed, to come anytime between now and June 10th's EA PLAY event in Los Angeles.

Continue on to see images from the event shared on social media by event attendees. If you notice something we missed, please let us know in the comments below.

I just see a bunch of wasted money above but I want a college game.

Speaking of good impressions and I swear this is not THE ONION.

NBA Live 18 Off-Screen Image Already Looks Better Than NBA 2K17

The leaked image reveals just how much better the visuals of NBA Live 18 is as compared to the NBA 2K games. Although we’ve yet to see just how well the graphics of NBA 2K18 will improve, it looks like 2K Sports will have to really work hard in surpassing what EA Sports has to offer.
The sweat of the players, LeBron James in this case, is more detailed than in any other sporting title released to date. If looked at closely enough, it’s easy to see just how detailed the players are in the upcoming title. Even the hands are refined to let us see the veins and other physical attributes of the players. Simply put, the upcoming title looks more real than any other basketball game ever.

I'm as optimistic and hopeful for Live 18 as anyone, but those trying to use that off-screen pic to put Live 18 above 2K need to slow their roll. I saw several 'articles' on supposed gaming sites claiming as such yesterday....I couldn't shake my head enough.

One of attendees (Scomo) just tweeted that the embargo from the LIVE event ends Wednesday, so expect first news & info then....maybe cover athlete as well?

I believe this is from the past weekend/currently in LA, so it appears Westbrook returns (remains?) the cover athlete for NBA LIVE Mobile and console.

There was another NBA LIVE 18 YouTuber/influencer event in NYC last night, very similar to the one in LA. As of now, it doesn't appear any new game info/media became available unless there is a midweek embargo.

There was another NBA LIVE 18 YouTuber event in Las Vegas this past week, but as of now it doesn't appear any new game info/media became available unless there is a midweek embargo.

Also, as of now there is still no way to pre-order/reserve the game. It would appear any goodwill or momentum they built up around the release of info on game mode "The One" is going to slip away.

I can't find the game on Amazon although Best Buy has it.
